Just thought I would do a post to show that we're not always with our noses in the books or on mission. This is at the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal's house in East London. We got back from the Confirmation Retreat and Edna couldn't resist starting a game!

You people will no doubt go to World Youth Day, I have been myself.
Please set a good example, as whilst it is a good thing to go, there is a real lack of reverence there. The way the women dress, particularly at Mass, the general noise inside Churches, the eating in the Churches, the lack of reverence towards the Holy Eucharist, is disgusting. People there act like Protestants in their attitude towards so many things.

Go but set an example, as they say; the road to hell is paved with good intentions!!!!
This is a better link, sorry!:

Some of us will indeed be going. I guess the experience you have is going to depend on the group you go with, but I think it's good to focus on the undeniable fruits and graces that have come from World Youth Day - such as many vocations to priesthood and religious life.
As you say there is also the opportunity to set a good example of reverence and modesty - this can be evangelisation by our witness to our peers, who may have never really been taught what the Church teaches.
